2 Peter 1: 1-9
Verse 5 " For this very reason do your best to add goodness to your faith; to your goodness add knowledge; to your knowledge add self control; to your self-control add endurance; to your endurance add godliness; to your godliness add Christian affection; and to your Christian affection add love.
This passage taught me about God's call and choice.
When I become a Christian, accept Christ Jesus as my personal savior. The relationship between God and me began to bond. As a result I being given a new identity thats is children of God.
And God commands us to live a righteous life by following His example. But nevertheless, we still always tempted by the evil devil and sometime we fall under it's trap. This is because God allows it in one condition as mention in 1 Corinthians 10:13, No tempation has seize you except what is common to man. And God is faithful, he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempt, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
This is promise that God gave us. Through this passage, I found that God is actually given many things before we ask because he knew what we need most. God's divide power has given us everything we need to live a truly righteouness life through our knowledge of the one who called us to share in his own glory and goodness.
We as Christian, must learn to give thanks for what we have and what God had given us. This is because this presious gift is especially for us in order to help us escape from the destructive lust that is in the world, and we may also come to share the divine nature.
So God taught us that to continue to practive our faith to the every best by adding goodness, to your goodness add knowledge; to your knowledge add self control; to your self-control add endurance; to your endurance add godliness; to your godliness add Christian affection; and to your Christian affection add love.
Try harder to make God's call and his choice of you a permanent experience. We as Christian need to go forth and continue to strengthen our faith in him. Without faith, this precious gift is just like rubbish or foolish things to believe.
So pray harder and try harder be faithful.
For God love the faithful one.
Thank you.
